In just under a month, one of the biggest festivals in the UK will open its doors, and everybody lucky enough to score a ticket has already started thinking about what to wear – we guarantee it. If that includes you, we totally understand your urge to steal celebrity festival fashion and achieve the “Glastonbury best-dressed award”, even if it only exists in your own head.
Music festivals give us an opportunity to show off our quirks like painted peacocks, and we don’t have to worry about anyone judging us. We’ve all seen the guys in morph suits after all. We want to be totally comfortable and feel FREE at the same time but we also want to be pioneers of fashion if that isn’t too much to ask.
After all, Glasto is always brimful of dapper celebs and the style standard is pretty high.
So, if you’re heading to the Queen of all Festivals, let’s get some A-lister inspo and make sure your outfit is on point this June!
Headwear is huge
As we learned from the always-gorgeous Karlie Kloss and Cara Delevigne at Burning Man in 2016 – and a few of their fellow festival-goers in the background there – choice of extravagant headwear is paramount for your festival look.

We reckon it only started because dry shampoo hasn’t been around for that long and festivals have, but now it is basically a competition. Who is the bravest and most fabulous? Choose a chic, feminine spin on this trend with a floppy, print-accented hat.
Fringing is fun
There’s nothing like a bit of fringe to make you feel young, wild and free. Gigi Hadid showed us that more is always more when it comes to fringing too, when she wore this brown, suede waistcoat. Maximise your sex appeal with one of our hippy-esque kimonos or vests, or opt for a more discreet nod to the trend with a fringed shoe or accessory.

Facial glitter is fabulous
You’d think glittery makeup would be old news by now on the festival scene, but it isn’t because A-listers and fashionistas keep finding new ways to revamp the trend and blow our minds. Model and full-time dream babe Hailey Baldwin wins the award for our favourite-ever glitter makeup with this gold tonal look.

Sometimes, simple is striking
Just ask Alexa Chung, who always looks minimalist yet hella stylish, and she hasn’t made a fashion blunder yet. You have to agree with us there. Take over this look with a distressed denim short, a simple striped tee and a classic leather jacket.

Bardots are big and beautiful
Kendall Jenner often takes fashion to the extreme – check out her 2017 outfit for the Met Gala if you don’t know what we’re talking about – and we adore this oversized Bardot she rocked at Coachella this year. She took the top, trainers and hotpants look to a whole new level.

Crochet is key
Not that we’re Kendall Jenner obsessed (we are), but we are still loving this eye-catching crochet ensemble she wore at last year’s Coachella too. This fabric is back, and on-trend for festival season in 2017.
Try a colour-pop orange playsuit with crochet trims, or opt for a white denim hotpant and a peach crochet bralet, layered under a crochet cardigan. Like Kendall, if you’re gonna go, why not go large?
